The best way to reduce greenhouse gasses and pollution, is simply to save energy. This requires a shift of thinking about doing more with less. Economically it goes against our Western European culture of growth and progress, but it is extremely important that we change our attitudes about the use of energy.

Once plentiful during the peak of the fossil fuel age of the 20th Century, the environmental consequences for wasting of this limited resource are now beginning to threaten the quality of life on Earth.

Of course, renewable sources of energy are attractive in solving the problem, but they are very expensive. It is much easier to not waste energy, and take to saving energy through conservation measures developed by engineers, architects, and scientists, particularly since 1973.
